The Obama administration is launching a pilot program that would allow access to long-haul trucks from Mexico. U.S. Rep. Peter DeFazio, D-OR, is concerned that it’s actually the start of a full-fledged opening of the border. He sent a letter to U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood requesting “written justification of how DOT’s planned program complies with the requirements for pilot programs.”
