As states continue to close rest areas, and as truckers report overflowing truck stops in certain parts of the country, the FMCSA is looking for potential solutions. FMCSA has been funding a SmartPark program the past few years to “evaluate technologies that offer the potential to monitor truck parking availability and to convey parking status information to truck drivers.”
