Nissan’s first proprietary hybrid drive hits the streets

When the Infiniti M35 hybrid goes on sale on March 16, it’s base price will be $54,575. Fully loaded, however, the M35 hybrid will top out at $66,375.

Nevertheless, the M35 hybrid will undercut the competition – the Lexus GS 450h – by around $4000.

The base 360-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 powered M35 Hybrid includes leather seats, 18-inch aluminum-alloy rims, Active Noise Control, Infiniti’s Intelligent Key with push button start, XM satellite radio, Bluetooth and a moonroof. However, upgraded 18-inch wheels are available, as well as a $3000 Technology Package, a $3,800 Deluxe Touring package and a $3,350 Premium Package.

Nice to see Nissan put its first proprietary hybrid drive into real world action, even if only in a luxury model few will purchase. Hopefully, this drive will soon find its way into other Nissan products.
