The Kansas House has approved a bill that would increase the speed limit by 5 mph on portions of highway to level the playing field with surrounding states. On a 95-23 vote, representatives voted Feb. 25 to advance a bill to increase speeds for all vehicles from 70 mph to 75 mph on rural stretches of divided four-lane highways.
