Ford officially launched the 2011MY Ford Mondeo sedan across China, with 8 variants of the upper-middle sedan The Mondeo features the EcoBoost GTDi engine and PowerShift transmission; the Chinese market is one of the first markets in the Asia Pacific and Africa region to have access to EcoBoost technology.
The 2.0L EcoBoost GTDi engine generates maximum power of 176.5 kW (237 hp) at 6,000 rpm and peak torque of 340 N&iddot;m (251 lb-ft) at 1,900-3,500 rpm. Fuel consumption is 7.9 L/100km (30 mpg US).
The all-aluminium 2.0-liter engine features latest-generation direct injection, turbocharging and twin independent variable cam timing (TiVCT).
PowerShift dual-clutch transmission delivers the fuel efficiency of a manual gearbox with the convenience and ease of a premium automatic transmission.
