On Thursday, approximately 2,000 Interstate Distributor Co. drivers received a letter saying that the 78-year-old trucking company has “agreed to be acquired by Saltchuk Resources Inc., based in Seattle, WA.” Renee Trueblood, IDC senior vice president of human resources, confirmed that May 2 is the “anticipated closing date” for Saltchuk’s acquisition of IDC.
