The Maine Legislature’s Government Oversight Committee has called former Maine Turnpike CEO Paul Violette to testify under oath about questionable spending practices. Violette resigned his position March 7 after an oversight report highlighted $157,000 in gift certificates bought and issued by the Turnpike Authority for hotels and restaurants.
