A Connecticut legislative panel has given the go-ahead to a bill that allows tolls on new highways or highway extensions. Other toll bills that met their demise sought to charge tolls on all drivers at the state’s borders and a separate effort that singled out truckers. Another effort still active would have truckers chip in more to help pay for roads.
