Peugeot unveiling China-designed SXC concept with HYbrid4 technology at Shanghai show

Peugeot is unveiling its SXC hybrid concept car at the Shanghai Motor Show. SXC (Shanghai Cross
Concept) is equipped with Peugeot’s HYbrid4 technology, with an internal combustion engine at the front (which drives the front wheels) and an electric motor at the rear (driving the rear wheels).

The system incorporates a 1.6-liter THP engine delivering 160 kW (218 bhp) and an electric motor of 70 kW (95 bhp) for a combined potential is 230 kW (313 bhp) with
a combined fuel consumption of 5.8 L/100 km (41 mpg US) and CO₂ emissions of 143 g/km.

The Peugeot Style Studios of the China Tech Center in Shanghai designed the SXC.
