Diesel retrofit sales were down in 2011 from the previous year, except in California, and even there sales were not as high as many expected. The Manufacturers of Emission Controls Association reports that according to a survey, diesel emissions retrofits totaled 20,177 in 2011, down from 2010’s 24,640 sales and 2009’s 29,180 sales.
