Pennington, Fernandina Beach, Fla., was senior counselor/managing director of PenNotes LLC, through which he offered publicity writings services as well as freelance writing for trucking and automotive publications. Known as Mike, he worked for Meritor from 1985 to 2010, when he retired as senior director, global marketing communications and industry relations.
