According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following arrests: Elbert Cannon, Jr., 49, 1239 Mariaun Road, Eunice, LA was arrested on December 18, 2014 at 7:19 am for simple assault. A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at the truck stop on Highway 90 in Bayou Vista.
