SPRINGFIELD — A disabled former truck driver with one drunk driving conviction pleaded guilty to a second Monday after allegedly passing out behind the wheel on a busy West Springfield street last summer. Hector Mendez, 52, of 1550 Memorial Ave., West Springfield, admitted to operating under the influence of liquor and operating with a license suspended for operating under the influence during a plea change hearing in Springfield District Court .
