A push by some trucking companies and drivers to keep their trucks on the road longer than allowed is making the roadways a danger. Thousands of accidents and hundreds of deaths each year blamed on fatigued commercial truck drivers according to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s agency which monitors motor carrier safety.
