Nebraska’s Gov. Pete Ricketts has approved legislation that will establish a new program offering rebates for alternative-fuel vehicle conversions, according to documents from the state legislature. The legislation , called the Nebraska Clean-Burning Motor Fuel Development Act, will allocate $500,000 for the rebate program, which will offer up to $4,500 for the conversion of a vehicle to liquefied natural gas or compressed natural gas , propane autogas, hydrogen fuel cells, or gasoline containing 15 percent ethanol or more, according to the state legislature.
