A Kentucky man who pulled a loaded gun after being honked at by a semi driver in Champaign County now has a felony conviction. It took a jury less than 15 minutes, including the time to elect a foreperson, to convict Jermi Stevens, 30, of aggravated unlawful use of weapons for having a loaded handgun, immediately accessible, in his BMW on Jan. 9 on Interstate 74. “Jermi Stevens had a bad case of road rage,” said Assistant State’s Attorney Claire Sharples-Brooks in her argument Friday to the seven men and five women who heard testimony Thursday in the Winchester, Ken., man’s case.
