Louisiana Catahoula Leopard dogs, the state’s official dog, are normally inquisitive, energetic, loving and independent – but not Scarlet. This one-year old, 40-pound mix was abandoned, abused, despondent, cowered from strangers and in constant pain from untreated mouth sores.
