A 56-year-old truck driver has been arrested and released on bail after customs detected an attempt to smuggle 288 smartphones worth about HK$1.3 million at Lok Ma Chau Control Point today. Customs officers intercepted an outgoing lorry in the small hours this morning and found smartphones concealed inside false compartments at the rear axle differential of the truck.
