The Arkansas State Police has not authorized any new third-party sites to conduct commercial driver’s license skills tests since October, creating what the president of the Arkansas Trucking Association described as an “obstacle” to training drivers in the state. Shannon Newton, president of the Arkansas Trucking Association, said she recently became aware of the issue when contacted by the College of the Ouachitas in Malvern as it prepared for the launch of a driver-training course.
