Public Works Director David Dockery has said the sliver of West Ridge Road jutting off Queen City Parkway and into the Airport Industrial Park can get backed up during rush hour, and it’s also been costly to maintain given existing traffic patterns. The road has been used for truck driver training and also as a turnaround spot for those looking for access to nearby Interstate 985.
