Authorities say Officer Alan Eduardo Dieguez was driving more than 100 mph on Interstate Highway 35 near Jarrell around 2:15 a.m. Tuesday when he rear-ended a semitrailer. The trucker stopped to check on Dieguez, whose vehicle went into a ditch.
