Advocates protested a warning from the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration that said commercial drivers licenses could be suspended for undocumented immigrants with protected status. Hundreds of undocumented immigrants who hold commercial drivers licenses in Maryland will be able to keep those licenses as long as they have work permits and temporary protected status in this country, the state's Motor Vehicle Administration said in a letter this week.
