Since we last polled Overdrive readers on cost per mile figures in 2014, there’s some good news in poll results: fewer readers report not knowing their numbers, and a larger share report costs under a dollar a mile, likely with equipment fully paid off — paired with well-developed maintenance know-how, such a lean operation can be a sizable advantage in a time like the present.
