A Missouri-based carrier recently announced it’s expanding, buying more trucks and hiring more drivers.
AG-XP, which is based in Saint Charles County near St. Louis, provides dedicated freight services to Amazon.com Inc.’s largest distribution centers across 16 midwestern and midsouth states. The expansion of its Amazon.com Dedicated Division includes what the company calls a “multi-million-dollar purchase of additional brand-new 2021 Freightliner and Kenworth Class 8 tractors.”
President and CEO Mike Komadina said the company is hiring 30 experienced drivers in the next several months. He said AG-XP will also be purchasing 15 new trucks.
According to its website, AGXP hires both company drivers and owner-operators. It also has a $1,500 weekly guarantee.
“Our $1,500 weekly pay guarantee for each driver really gives drivers the pay security they deserve.,” said Komadina.
Company drivers can expect:
- 60 cents per mile on all miles, loaded or empty
- 100% drop and hook
- 100% round-trip routes; no waiting for a backhaul
- drivers return every 24-36 hours to St. Louis area
