For many American truckers, Wednesday will be just another day: pick up a load, drive, eat, drop off a load, find someplace to park, sleep, get ready to repeat.
For others, it will be a day to celebrate. After all, it will be National Coffee Day. And, while they too will do the pickup/drop off, eat/park/sleep routine, some drivers may also enjoy the elixir made from the seeds of the berries of the coffee plant. And, for some, it is coffee that fuels them just as diesel powers the truck they drive.
While it may be a bit hyperbolic to suggest anyone will celebrate National Coffee Day the way we observe other holidays — even the likes of Arbor Day or Law Day — we trust those who are loyal to and/or dependant on coffee may pause — if only briefly — after their first sip of the day to be thankful for their brew of choice.
Love’s Travel Stops is recognizing National Coffee Day by offering customers any sized coffee or hot beverage for the reduced price of $1 on Wednesday, Sept. 29. When purchases are made through the Love’s Connect app, all proceeds go to Love’s annual Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals campaign. My Love Rewards members can use a free drink refill credit for the purchase, and Love’s will donate $1 on their behalf.
Drink options include: signature house or dark roast blend, Colombian or Brazilian blend, Rainforest Alliance pumpkin coffee, Cinnabon pumpkin cappuccino or any cappuccino flavor, hot tea.
Love’s annual CMN Hospitals campaign ends Sept. 30. Customers can further support CMN Hospitals by Rounding Up the Change or donating any amount at the register.
