A veteran driver for a supermarket chain located in the Northeast was recently named driver of the year by the Trucking Association of New York.
Steven Bullinger of Rensselaer, New York won the New York State 2020 Statewide Driver of the Year award. The honor was announced late last month by the association.
Bullinger is a professional driver for the Golub Corporation, which operates the Price Chopper and Market 32 supermarkets. Bullinger has been driving for 43 years, 31 of which have been with Golub Corporation. He has accumulated 2.6 million accident-free miles.
The award recognizes truck drivers who demonstrate a dedication to their profession and loyalty to their employers.

Timothy Canastra of Durham, New York won the New York State 2020 Statewide Golden Wrench Award. Canastra is a diesel technician for Borwegen Excavation and Repair.
