A two-day safety “crash-reduction initiative” in Arizona resulted in 759 commercial vehicle inspections and 80 drivers being placed out of service last week. The Arizona Department of Public Safety had 77 inspectors at stationary checkpoints and roving commercial vehicle enforcement on Interstate 10 from the Pima-Cochise County line to the Arizona/New Mexico border on Feb. 8-9.
