THERE have been calls for the Gillard Government to put the brakes on massive increases to the road user charges scheduled to take effect from July 1. The proposed 10.4 percent hike in the road user charges comes on top of the carbon tax and comes at a time when the transport industry is struggling to survive big cost increases.
