A grand vision for an east-west highway serving Snohomish County is something a few men would like to see made true during this year’s state Legislative session, which convenes Monday, Jan. 12. The idea is a multi-lane toll road with a parallel new railroad running from Everett’s Highway 526 to Spokane. They call it the “Mega Project” and it has been in on the drawing board for nearly five years.
