The Nevada Department of Transportation has announced it will put together a plan for making enhancements to the state’s transportation system when it comes to moving freight It will bring together transportation and freight stakeholders across the state to develop potential projects to enhance Nevada freight movement and commerce, according to a Nevada DOT news release. “The freight plan will be unique in aggressively seeking out economic opportunities tied to freight and could potentially help make way for federal funding for such projects as new truck climbing lanes, truck platooning technology and other freight corridor improvements,” the state DOT said.
