Shillong, Feb. 2: The Opposition United Democratic Party today demanded a CBI inquiry into yesterday’s incident at Umling in Meghalaya’s Ri Bhoi district. Yesterday afternoon, hundreds of alleged coal truck drivers and helpers who were allegedly armed with iron rods, petrol bombs, stones and canes, attacked the Umling weighbridge, few kilometres away from Nongpoh, the district headquarters of Ri Bhoi.
