A report released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention showed 65 percent of on-the-job deaths of truck drivers are due to motor vehicle crashes, making it the leading cause of work-related deaths in that occupation. About 2.6 million workers drive trucks that weigh over 10,000 pounds.
