Workers and investigators continue the grim task of determining the cause of a Monday night accident Tuesday morning, Dec. 17, 2013, that killed trooper David Cunniff and injured another person on the Thruway in Amsterdam, N.Y. Gary R. Blakley, 66, of Ontario Province, was driving a tractor trailer that struck Cunniff’s marked State Police car as he was conducting a traffic stop on the Thruway.
