A Florida truck driver faces a hearing before Washington County District Judge David Mark Wednesday after spending several days in the Washington County jail after he drove his 59,346-pound big rig onto a road with a 10-ton weight limit. He was pulled over Saturday by Canonsburg police Officer Scott Bashioum, who is also a commercial vehicle enforcement officer, when Bashioum spotted the Florida driver, 58-year-old M. Amareles-Amaneles of Hialeah, Florida, making a left turn from Strabane Avenue onto West Pike Street, reportedly nearly hitting a vehicle stopped at the light, according to an article by Kathie Warko in the Washington Observer-Reporter .
