BARSTOW >> An Upland woman was in the hospital in serious condition after she was allegedly attacked by her truck driver boyfriend with a hammer Monday afternoon. Juan Manuel Flores Garcia, 34, was arrested after he called 9-1-1 to report he had just attacked his girlfriend in the tractor trailer he was driving and she needed medical attention, officials with the California Highway Patrol Barstow station said Tuesday.
