The drivers said Wal-Mart did not pay them properly for layovers and did not pay them at all for tasks such as weighing their loads and completing mandatory paperwork. A U.S. District Court judge has ruled that Walmart violated California’s minimum wage law by failing to pay its truck drivers for all the tasks they do; the company could owe drivers as much as $150 million in back wages.
