The Alliance for Driver Safety & Security is urging the Senate as it works on its version of the T-HUD budget bill to reject riders to the measure attached by the House that “would compromise truck safety” by reducing funding for certain truck-safety programs and for infrastructure improvements as “both are critical to improving highway safety for truck drivers and motorists.” President Obama has already threatened to veto the entire funding package if it makes it to his desk in the same form that it took in the House.
