The Port of Virginia has relaunched its Green Operator Program, which provides up to $20,000 toward the purchase of clean-diesel trucks that service the port and up to $6,000 toward the purchase and installation of retrofit devices, announced Virginia Clean Cities . The Green Operator Program, created in 2006, provides incentives to owners of trucks that service the port to replace early model trucks with newer trucks equipped with clean-diesel technology, This newly opened phase of the program furthers that original goal, according to VCC, which serves as a partner in the program.
