The 2016 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon rear-wheel-drive pickups powered by the 2.8L Duramax turbo-diesel have achieved fuel economy ratings of 31 mpg on the highway, making them the most fuel efficient pickups on the market. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency also rated the rear-wheel trucks at 22 mpg in city driving and 25 mpg in combined driving cycles.
