Ford has built the first aluminum-body F-150 with a factory gaseous-prep package at its Kansas City Assembly Plant that allows fleets to run the truck on compressed natural gas or propane autogas, the company has announced. This 2016 F-150 is powered by a 5.0L Ti-VCT V-8 engine that can be paired with a factory-installed, gaseous-fuel prep package that includes hardened valves, valve seats, pistons, and piston rings so it can operate on natural gas, propane autogas, or gasoline through separate fuel systems.
