FORT LEE – A 40-year-old truck driver was arrested Monday night after he drove through the George Washington Bridge toll lane with an obscured license plate in an attempt to skip paying the toll, Port Authority spokesman Joe Pentangelo said. Police stopped the Freightliner tractor trailer around 7 p.m. after officers noticed the front license plate was attached to the grill with zip ties and flipped up, concealing the front of the plate, Pentangelo said.
