Robert Palm, CEO of truckersfinalmile.org , a recognized charity designed to reunite truck drivers and their families in the event of death, debilitating injury or serious illness, said Thursday that his organization hoped to be able to transport the body of a trucker killed here March 8 back to his hometown of Elgin, Illinois, by the end of the week, but was still accepting donations to assist with the effort. Investigators sorted through trash, reviewed camera footage, interviewed other truck drivers and went through the victim’s truck, but found no clues that might lead to an arrest.
