Transportation officials have completed the process of staking out the route of the North Loop, a long-anticipated highway that will directly connect state highways 101 and 61, allowing trucks and other traffic to bypass downtown Villa Rica. According to the city manager's office, the Georgia Department of Transportation has mapped out the route of the highway, which will thread its way from the current end of Industrial Boulevard to a point on the Dallas Highway between Punkintown and Stockmar roads.
