The FMCSA will maintain on its website a list of devices it has removed from the list — and take steps to make sure the industry is aware of any determinations of device non-compliance.
Fleet managers should be vigilant about any change in status of the fleet’s ELD solution. If a fleet driver is using a device that’s found to be out of compliance, the fleet and the driver may face a citation, fine, or being placed out of service, even if the fleet was using the device in good faith.
