Dozens of Congressmen Go to Bat for OOIDA ELD Exemption Request

The Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association has garnered the support of over two dozen Congressmen in the form of a letter from them to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration that encourages the agency to grant OOIDA’s pending application for a 5-year exemption from the ELD rule.

Super Bowl ‘brought to you by American truckers’

It will take more than 100,000 truckloads of freight to pull of this weekend’s Super Bowl — and that’s just the loads servicing Minneapolis’ U.S. Bank Stadium, where the game is being held. According to advocacy group Trucking Moves America Forward, tens of thousands of loads will be needed to provide the beer, popcorn, guacamole and chicken wings Americans will consume on Sunday.
