Four of Indianapolis’ largest food banks have launched an effort to keep good food out of landfills and get it into the homes of those who need it most. Gleaners , St. Vincent De Paul , Midwest Food Bank and Second Helpings have started Indy Food Drop, an effort to put truck drivers in touch with food banks when they have deliveries that get rejected by retailers.

During Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch’s Senate confirmation hearings, one case came up repeatedly: A truck driver was fired for leaving his trailer of meat on the side of an Illinois road after breaking down on a frigid night in 2009, fearing he’d freeze to death. The federal appeals court judge last year dissented from a ruling ordering a trucking company to rehire Alphonse Maddin.
Peterbilt Returns to MATS, Predicts 15% Market Share for 2017
Peterbilt Motors returned to the Mid America Trucking Show, after an absence in 2016, predicting the company could top 15% market share this year.
