March Durable Goods Orders Up $5 Billion

New orders for manufactured durable goods in March increased $5 billion or 2.5 percent to $208.4 billion, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. This increase, up three consecutive months, followed a 0.7 percent February increase.

Dana Shows 1Q Loss

Dana Holding Corp. reported adjusted earnings of $181 million in the first quarter of 2011. The company had a net loss of $30 million, which included $53 million of one-time charges for refinancing and restructuring of debt in January.
