FMCSA is urging car drivers to stay out of trucks’ blind spots, make sure they can see truckers in the mirror before passing, not to cut in close in front of trucks, anticipate wide turns, avoid distractions and be patient when driving around trucks.

According to FMCSA, Simranjeet Singh Sandhu was driving on the Cross Bronx Expressway on March 27 when he allegedly changed lanes without signaling, then struck a car, killing the driver and hospitalizing a passenger. He then fled the scene.
